Leland Rocks

We have started an event to spread Leland's love and get others spending time with their families more often.  Leland wanted to travel the world.  He planned on going to New York to see the Statue of Liberty, California to visit the big Lego place out there, Hawaii to visit Pearl Harbor and so many other places.  With his life being taken too soon, he never got the chance to go to these places.  My hopes are that these rocks will travel around the world for him.

Leland Rocks are a fun, easy and inexpensive way for families to spend time together.  You simply find or buy some river rocks and paint them with sharpies or acrylic paint in any way that you like.  Children really love doing this.  You can seal with a spray sealant if you like in order to make it last longer.

WHEN YOU DECORATE THE ROCKS PLEASE PUT THE LELAND SHOEMAKE FOUNDATION ON THE BACK SO PEOPLE WHO FIND THEM WILL COME TO THE PAGE AND LEARN MORE ABOUT LELAND, PREVENTION OF AMOEBAS, AND MORE ABOUT HOW TO MAKE THEIR OWN ROCKS.

You can hide them wherever you like.  We plan to take some everytime we go camping and also hide some around our small hometown.

If you find a rock then please take a picture and post it to our Facebook page or email it to us along with who found it and where they found it so we can share online.  You can keep the rock and make another one to replace it, or you can rehide the rock you found somewhere else.  Take them with you on vacations and hide them, hide them at restaruants, parks or anywhere you like.

We can wait to see all the pictures of decorated rocks and where you found them.  Have fun and God bless!
